Job Description

Job Summary Rate of pay will be disclosed at the time of hire and is based on qualifications, experience, and abilities. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paper Converting Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Candidates with experience in slitting, winding, sheeter operations in the packaging industries are encouraged to apply. Machine Operators will operate various converting equipment to paperboard sheeters, laminators, rewinders, and balers. Operator responsibilities include maintaining production runs, troubleshooting machine issues, and visually inspecting finished product as it is being produced to ensure quality and consistency. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor paper converting machines including rewinders, slitters, sheeters and laminators to produce finished paper products according to specifications. Conduct pre-checks to ensure work orders, machinery and materials are prepared correctly for production runs. Perform routine inspections of machinery during operation to identify and troubleshoot issues promptly, minimizing downtime. Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and shift reports to track performance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Assist with packaging finished products securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Use equipment safely for material handling, loading raw materials and moving finished goods within the facility. Collaborate with team members in manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency and uphold safety protocols. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Previous experience operating paper converting machinery or similar manufacturing equipment is highly preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing, slitting, winding, sheeting and packaging operations is advantageous. Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, work orders, tape measures, calipers, and quality specifications clearly. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout the production process. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot. Physical ability to stand for extended periods. This involves bending, kneeling, and reaching. Must capable to physically operator machinery, lift up to 50 lbs repeatively, safely, and perform routine machine maintenance as needed.
