Machine Set-Up Operator - (2nd Shift) ($19.00/hr.) Job Description This role focuses on setting up and operating Komax and Alpha wire cutting and termination machines on the 2nd shift. You will perform multiple machine set-ups per day, run production batches according to work orders, and ensure parts meet quality standards through accurate measurement and visual inspection. The position includes light troubleshooting of equipment and supporting other production tasks as needed, with initial training provided on 1st shift. We are looking for an individual to start working as soon as possible. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half. Apply Today! Responsibilities Set up Komax and Alpha wire cutting and termination machines according to work instructions and work orders. Perform multiple machine set-ups per day based on the number of jobs scheduled. Select and pick required wires from the warehouse using work instructions and work orders. Run required batches of wire to complete each work order once machines are properly set up. Use measuring tools such as rulers, micrometers, and calipers to verify dimensions and specifications. Conduct visual quality inspections after each batch run to ensure pieces meet standards before moving to the quality department. Perform light troubleshooting of machines when issues arise and escalate more complex problems to the maintenance department. Carry out additional production tasks and duties as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations. Lift and move materials and components up to 30 lbs as part of daily tasks. Follow safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards throughout all machine set-up and operation activities. Essential Skills Previous machine operator experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Hands-on experience with machine set-up and making in-process adjustments to machines. Ability to set up and operate wire cutting machines, including Komax and Alpha equipment. Proficiency in using measuring tools such as rulers, micrometers, and calipers. Capability to perform basic troubleshooting on production machinery and recognize when to involve maintenance. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs safely and repeatedly during the shift. Comfort working on 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) with initial training on 1st shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with wire harness production or wire processing operations. Familiarity with wire cutting machines, wire strippers, and termination equipment. Ability to read and follow work instructions, work orders, and basic production documentation. Attention to detail and strong focus on quality and accuracy. You will work primarily on 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with training provided on 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The facility maintains a clean and organized production floor, utilizing modern wire cutting, stripping, and harness-building equipment to support efficient and safe operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Twinsburg, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
