Job Description

Multiple shifts available Starting pay for Machine Operators is $17.00 with a $1.50 shift premium for 3 shift. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Demonstrates a commitment to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Follows safety regulations and actively contributes to work safety. Must be able to operate multiple machines. Follows all standard work, control plans, all processes, and quality guidelines Perform all Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities as required. Verify that the machine is running at the proper cycle time. Verifies conformance of finished work pieces to specifications using a variety of gauges, making sure parts are within specified tolerances. Setting up, operating and dismantling of unit assembly and subassembly workstations. Responds with commitment and sensitivity toward satisfying the needs of internal and external customers. Promotes quality and continuous improvement philosophy. Evaluates situations objectively and demonstrates the ability to make timely decisions that are intended to have a positive effect on work performance. Organizes and prioritizes work assignments to complete assignments/tasks on time, with quality, and has the ability to anticipate problem areas in advance. Applies creative approaches and ideas to solve problems maximizing effective use of appropriate resources. Demonstrates flexibility in approach and ideas, responds positively and supports changes in procedures, processes, technology, responsibility, and assignments. Maintains cooperative and productive working relationships and communications with all employees, participating effectively as a team member or as a team leader. Encourage and assist in self-improvement. May Fit and assemble parts into complete assembly. Verifies the dimensions and alignment of assembly. Confers with other classifications in care and use of machines, equipment, and techniques required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for the entirety of their shift (8 - 12 hours a day) Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Must be physically able to wear appropriate
PPE Qualification Requirements:
All candidates must be 18 years of age and hold a High School Diploma / GED or further degree. Fluently speak and write English. Be able to work without sponsorship. Read and understand blueprints, control plans, job instructions and measurement tools (i.e. Measuring tape) #
LSOPS Pay:
$17.50 - $19.00 per hour
