30 PM We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce precise components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, including CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical fabrication. Responsibilities Set up laser cutting machines, including calibration and configuration, ensuring optimal performance for each job Operate laser equipment safely and efficiently to produce parts with precision according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings Program laser machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to achieve accurate cuts Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser systems, including Fanuc controls and other programmable logic controllers Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify quality standards Collaborate with the fabrication team on tooling adjustments, materials handling, and assembly line integration Maintain detailed documentation of production runs, machine settings, and quality control reports Assist in the setup and operation of related equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, stamping presses, and welding tools when required Follow safety protocols diligently while handling heavy materials with forklifts or other warehouse equipment Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements for efficiency and quality Requirements Proven experience operating laser cutting machinery in a manufacturing or factory setting Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, CNC programming, CAM programming, and blueprint reading Familiarity with mechanical fabrication processes including welding, stamping presses, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, and CNC lathes Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications accurately Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or equivalent design tools Experience with materials handling equipment like forklifts and warehouse operations Skilled in using precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers for quality control Basic math skills necessary for machine setup and measurement calculations Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and factory procedures Hands-on experience with tooling setup, fabrication techniques, and assembly line processes is preferred If you are committed to precision manufacturing excellence and eager to contribute your technical expertise within a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply today.
