Role:
The Machine Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by efficiently operating and maintaining production machinery to ensure high-quality output. This position requires a thorough understanding of CNC machine operations, quality control measures, and routine maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The operator will be responsible for setting up machines, monitoring their performance, and making necessary adjustments to meet production specifications. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to maintain a safe working environment and produce components that meet strict quality standards. Ultimately, the Machine Operator contributes directly to the seamless flow of manufacturing operations and the delivery of superior products to customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to learn how to perform machine maintenance and repair techniques. Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Valid forklift operator certification or ability to obtain one. Willing to work nights and/or weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical certification or vocational training in CNC operation or industrial maintenance. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Previous experience working in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities:
Operate CNC and other production machinery according to established procedures and safety guidelines. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines to ensure optimal functionality and prevent breakdowns. Conduct quality control inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to verify product specifications. Set up machines for production runs, including loading tools and materials as needed. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes. Maintain accurate production records and report any deviations or equipment malfunctions promptly. Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished products.
