We are looking for someone that has previously worked in the Steel Industry. Experience with the operation of roll formers, shears, cranes, rigging is a plus. Metal Panels Inc. is a quality manufacturer of metal roofing and siding products, meeting the needs of the Metal Roofing, Metal Building, Post Frame and Storage Industries since 2001. Locally owned and operated, MPI maintains lite manufacturing & heavy distribution centers in Tulsa and Kansas City. MPI has grown by providing our valued customers with quality products, timely delivery, and our best-in-class personalized service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and train other workers to change coils, operate equipment, remove coils, band, and load material.
  • Adjust and correct machine set-ups to reshape and eliminate product defects.
  • Assist other workers in positioning equipment and feeding materials into machines.
  • Read work orders and blueprints to determine setup specifications, work sequences, and product dimensions
  • Ensure correct materials are used on each job by verifying materials prior to beginning production.
  • Ensure parts are fabricated correctly by performing quality checks.
  • Utilizing basic shop math, inspecting, counting, and stacking products.
  • Ensure efficient and timely processing of various job orders by organizing work to be performed according to complexity, materials used, anticipated completion time.
  • Ensure safe and efficient machine operation by performing daily maintenance and minor repairs on machines, observing safety standards.
  • Be willing to cross-train in multiple departments based on production needs.
  • Identify and resolve issues in the manufacturing machinery process, which could include defects in materials, equipment malfunctions, or inefficiencies in production methods.
Requirements:
  • 2 or more years' experience in a fabrication environement.
  • Experience in leading others.
  • Monday-Friday 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm
  • Overtime required as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Accurately reading tape measures, prints, and other equipment.
  • Ability to adapt in fast paced environments.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.

DOE base rate, and quarterly profit sharing.
