{1156} Gang Saw Operator NW Industrial - 2.3 Eugene, OR Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 21 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Measuring tapes Defect detection (quality control) Power tools for woodworking Forklift Dimensional measurements Quality issues Loading Wood construction materials Visual inspection for quality control Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description NW Industrial Staffing is currently seeking a Gang Saw Operator for a locally owned and operated company that produces a quality line of custom wood paneling products, as well as custom wood molding and handrails for commercial and residential use. This is a full-time evaluation to hire opportunities for a great company that has been in business for over 25 years.
What we are seeking:
1+ years of working in a custom cabinet shop or similar wood working facility operating rip saws re-saws, routers, and sanders. The ability to set up saws for run and inspect wood to make sure flaws in wood are avoided. Previous experience reading work orders and completing paperwork. Can operate a forklift. The ability to read precision measurements including tape measures and calipers. Previous experience loading and off-baring wood and checking defects in the product, while making note of quality issues. Can Lift 70 lbs. on occasion. Ability to stand, stoop, bend, push and pull for an 8 hour shift. A strong safety record. A willingness to work with a diverse team cooperatively and meet common goals. Ideal candidates will be able to differentiate wood species.
