Shipper

Summary/Objective The shipper's primary objectives will be to ensure that all cylinders and other materials are packaged and shipped securely. The shipper will also support other functional units (i.e. cross training) for overall company well-being. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Follow production paperwork, work scheduled and documented processes Clean all cylinder ends before shipping Clean and oil all shafts prior to shipping Handle and transport all cylinder types, including loading onto and out of trucks Operate all cranes and mobile lift units Repair crates Assemble boxes and tubes Pack and secure cylinders and other required materials Properly use tools and instruments as required Report required information Other additional non essential duties as may be required Follow safety practices and procedures Competencies Safety Quality Attendance/Punctuality Planning and Organizing Job Knowledge/Skills Initiative Judgment Adaptability Attitude Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving, mechanical parts. The noise level in this environment is typically moderate. Physical Demands The position may require lifting and / or moving up to 50 pounds. Good hand / eye coordination is necessary Qualifications/Education A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
