Machine Operator

Our client, a flexible packaging manufacturing company, is looking for a Slitter Operator to join their team in Bristol, PA. In this contract-to-hire role, you will be responsible for operating a slitter machine safely and efficiently to produce quality packaging products in accordance with company and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate slitter machine efficiently and productively against established production goals Load and unload rolls on the slitter and bag finished rolls for shipment Build pallets of finished goods per customer specifications Perform quality checks on slit material including lay flat and web measurements, print quality, print defects, and roll/web tension and integrity Identify and cut out visual defects and splice together good material Print and attach accurate labels to all finished rolls Enter accurate information into the computer and complete production forms Interpret and follow written work orders, SOPs, lamination and print roll tickets Comply with all company SOPs including Employee Health and Safety, SQF, GMP, and SGP environmental procedures Keep the machine and surrounding work area clean and safe at all times

Requirements:

Ability to read a tape measure and ruler accurately Basic computer skills including data entry Basic math, reading, and legible writing skills Experience with minor tools such as Allen wrenches and sharp cutting tools Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot visual defects Good organizational and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Pay & Schedule:

Pay Rate:

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)

Shift:

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule
