Job Description This role supports a busy production facility by cutting, assembling, and finishing stair components while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness. You will work across multiple stations, operate woodworking machinery, and ensure that daily production schedules are met through accurate cutting, labeling, assembly, and inspection of parts. Essential Skills Ability to perform manual labor, including safely lifting up to 50 pounds. Good problem-solving skills to address production issues and ensure schedules are met. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to be self-managed when working independently. Strong attention to detail and a conscientious, hardworking approach to tasks. Positive attitude and consistent respect for others in the workplace. Reliable attendance and punctuality, with appreciation for a respectful work environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior carpentry experience preferred but not required. Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple sub-departments, including riser up-cut, tread up-cut, dado, ripsaw, stringers, and box stair assembly. Ability to follow written schedules, reports, and labels accurately. Openness to learning new processes and adapting to changing production needs. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a full-time, first-shift position in a production and woodworking facility. \ The role involves working on and around industrial woodworking equipment such as shapers, bandsaws, ripsaws, and stringer machines, as well as using clamps, nailers, staplers, and other hand tools for assembly. The environment requires frequent standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving materials between stations. Work areas must be kept clean and orderly, with daily sweeping and organization at the end of each shift to maintain safety and efficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
