1st Shift Machine Operator

Machine Operator Job Description This role operates and sets up bag-making equipment in a large manufacturing environment that produces paper-based industrial, commercial, food, and e-commerce packaging. The Shift Machine Operator ensures efficient production, manages product changeovers, assists with minor equipment repairs, and supports material handling activities such as loading and unloading trucks. Responsibilities Set up and operate bag-making machines to produce paper-based packaging according to production specifications and quality standards. Manage product changeovers efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. Assist in performing minor mechanical repairs and adjustments on machines to keep equipment running safely and effectively. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished products as needed. Load and unload trucks safely and accurately to support shipping and receiving activities. Use hand tools and basic mechanical skills to support machine setup, adjustments, and minor maintenance. Monitor production runs, identify issues, and troubleshoot machine problems to reduce scrap and improve efficiency. Essential Skills Experience managing product changeovers in a manufacturing or production environment. Ability to assist with minor mechanical repairs and adjustments on production equipment. Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with using hand tools in an industrial environment. Experience in production, assembly, or general labor in a manufacturing setting. Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and respond quickly to production problems. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a large manufacturing facility focused on producing industrial and commercial paper bags for building materials, food products, and e-commerce packaging. The environment involves working around production machinery, forklifts, and material handling equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficient operations. Multiple shifts are available, including daylight (7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.), mid shift (3:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m.), and night shift (11:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m.). Team members work on the production floor, handling mechanical equipment, packaging materials, and general labor tasks in a structured, process-driven setting. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Clinton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $53040.00 - $53040.00/yr.
