Key Responsibilities Essential Job Duties:

The melt controller is responsible for converting raw materials into liquid metal at temperatures exceeding (2800) degrees; responsible for the quality of the metal including chemical and temperatures control. The Controller controls the chemistry of the metals. If not correct they need to adjust chemistry into spec Responsible for maintaining the furnace including daily patches and repairs and relining the refractory. Responsible for maintaining recording pouring temperatures. Preparing the pouring ladles for daily use; pouring metal into ladles. Ability to take direction from supervisor; understanding temperatures controls; assisting with the cleaning/maintaining furnaces ladles.
