Now Hiring Assembly Trainee in Dallastown, PA First Shift Mon-Fri $17.75/hour to start with increases after 3 and 6 months Job Description This Assembly Trainee role offers a structured six‑month training program designed to develop you into a qualified assembler. You will start with classroom instruction, move into job shadowing across multiple departments, and progress to hands-on work with sealing, coating, and assembly tasks. Throughout the program, you will learn to read blueprints, use a variety of hand and power tools, and apply mechanical skills in a production environment. Progress checkpoints will help ensure you are learning and advancing as expected. Responsibilities Participate fully in a six‑month assembly training program that includes classroom learning, job shadowing, and hands-on production work. Complete a classroom-based first week focused on safety, basic assembly concepts, tools, and procedures. Shadow experienced employees in multiple departments during the second week to observe sealing, coating, assembly, and related processes. Perform hands-on general labor and assembly tasks from week three onward in sealing, coating, and other production departments. Learn to read and interpret blueprints and apply them to mechanical and structural assembly tasks. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, measuring, and assembling components. Measure materials accurately using a tape measure, including reading down to 1/16 of an inch. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a large, organized manufacturing campus with multiple buildings and a security kiosk at the entrance. The primary schedule for the training program is on first shift, and standard first-shift hours run approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with two 10-minute breaks that can be combined into a 20-minute paid lunch. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallastown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
