Job Description

Overview We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Operator Trainees. This entry-level position is ideal for those looking to start a career in manufacturing and machining. As an Operator Trainee, you will receive hands-on training in various operational processes with a heavy focus on our planers, while working with advanced machinery and tools. This role is perfect for candidates who are eager to learn and develop their skills in a dynamic environment. Duties Set-up, operate, and monitor wood planers, ensuring quality control throughout the production process Assist in the setup and calibration of planers and other equipment using a variety of measuring tools and techniques. Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including power tools and hand tools Collaborate with experienced operators to learn best practices in maintaining and operating equipment. Follow safety protocols while operating any piece of machinery or equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety Requirements Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and machining techniques Mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance skills Ability to read a tape measure, read a steel ruler to 1/64" , and use vernier calipers. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively Prior experience in operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment is beneficial but not mandatory Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks within the production environment Join us as an Operator Trainee and take the first step towards a rewarding career in manufacturing!
