Punch Press Machine Operator - 2nd Shift Why Work Here? Responsibilities Load aluminum and steel coils onto vertical payoffs using a hoist and hook system. Manually tighten payoffs to secure coils safely and correctly. Visually guide forklift drivers to load aluminum and steel coils onto horizontal payoffs. String up the press, where trained, using established job-safe practices and procedures. Work from production work orders to form and pack various products to specification. Seal cartons using tapers, banders, hand staplers, foot staplers, and other similar packaging systems. Move finished cartons from the packing table to pallets using established lifting methods. Wrap pallets with stretch wrap and hand transport them to designated areas using a forklift. Resupply the work area with new pallets to support continuous production. Rake product when running into wire bins or retrieving from wire bins and check quality, including product shape, correct feed length, surface defects, and correct UPC label application. Lubricate machines and refill lubrication devices as required to support safe and efficient operation. Work Environment This position works in a standard manufacturing shop focused on metal production. The facility is fairly clean for a metal shop but can become dirty due to the nature of the work. It is not climate controlled, so temperatures may be warmer in the summer and cooler in the winter. The role is on 2nd shift, Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with potential scheduling up to 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and occasional weekend shifts from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.20 - $19.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
