Machine Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Equipment Operator to oversee sheeter operations within a converting/manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for loading jumbo rolls, adjusting operational parameters, performing knife changes, conducting routine maintenance, and managing spare parts inventory to ensure efficient production. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Schedule:

7am-7pm on a rotating 8 day schedule. 4 days on and 4 days off then rotates to alternating shift. Responsibilities Operate and monitor sheeter machinery to ensure proper cutting, slitting, and sheet conversion Load and unload jumbo rolls safely, ensuring proper alignment and tension control Adjust machine settings to optimize performance, reduce waste, and maintain quality Perform blade changes and adjustments to maintain precision cutting Conduct routine maintenance, lubrication, and equipment inspections Maintain inventory of critical spare parts to prevent downtime Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues quickly and effectively Inspect finished product for quality, accuracy, and defects Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures Qualifications Experience operating sheeter machinery or similar converting/manufacturing equipment preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Ability to read and interpret work orders and machine settings Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods Comfortable working in a warehouse/manufacturing setting with varying temperatures and noise levels Ability to use hand tools for maintenance tasks J & J pays WEEKLY and we offer Direct Deposit, Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits, Paid Time Off, and a $$$ Referral Bonus $$$ !!!
