Job Description

Benshaw is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production machinery to produce high-quality components for our motor control and industrial automation products. This role requires a strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate machinery, tools, and equipment according to established procedures and production schedules. Monitor machine performance during operations, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency. Perform inspections of finished products to confirm compliance with specifications and quality standards. Complete required production documentation, including work orders, inspection logs, and equipment checklists. Conduct routine preventive maintenance and report any equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance staff. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets. Cross-train in multiple areas of the manufacturing process to provide flexibility and support to the team. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred. Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Basic math skills and ability to use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one preferred.
