Job Description

Set-Up Technician - 1 st Shift We have an immediate opening for a Set Up Technician in our Martinsburg, WV Facility. The Set Up Technician will be responsible for the set-up of work centers, assist operators when needed and perform general floor work when needed. Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
Set up all work centers within the department in accordance with procedures and make necessary adjustments to achieve a part that meets all specifications. Interpret blue prints, customer specifications and job orders. Monitor work center capabilities and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Analyze problems and assist supervisor and workers in solving work problems. Suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work related goals and assist supervisor in initiating plans. Diagnose and troubleshoot tooling, machine and processing malfunctions and report issues to Production Supervisor. Carry out direction from supervisors to coordinate activities of individual work centers. Perform daily housekeeping and applicable maintenance of machinery and complete all necessary paperwork associated with this duty. Assist operators with job functions such as relieving machinery for scheduled breaks, moving product and scrap to and from work stations, and assisting material handler with moving raw materials to and from work stations. Navigate through Syteline system and Brentwood Intranet ISO drive to obtain and properly complete all necessary paperwork and forms needed for production. Perform all work procedures according to established Quality Management & Environmental Management Systems.
Essential Skills:
1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to carry out detailed instructions Tow Motor certificate preferred Computer literacy - ability to input information into shop floor data collection system as well as navigate company networks, intranet and internal ERP/MRP system (Syteline).
