Job Summary GR Mitchell's growing millwork division is seeking an experienced woodworker who will be tasked with assisting in the planning and production of custom architectural millwork. In this role you'll be asked to work with our existing mill staff to analyze drawings and specifications, manufacture and assemble various pieces, monitor quality, and occasionally take part in the installation/on-site assembly of the items fabricated within the shop. Typical projects include large-scale custom trim, the reproduction of historic work, custom built-ins and cabinetry, and more. Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of woods and demonstrate prior experience processing lumber components using industrial saws, jointers, planers, etc.
- The ability to read and execute upon drawings/blueprints is essential to the performance of this role.
- In addition to being an excellent artisan, strong communication skills and the ability to work as a team are important within this role.
- A strong understanding of the cabinet building process is preferred. Attendance Position requires attendance at the mill, located just south of our Willow Street headquarters in Refton, Monday
- Friday, roughly 40 hours per week.
This role demands the ability to stand and/or walk for an 8-hour shift and often includes the need to frequently bend/stoop as well as lift heavy loads. Competitive pay range based upon experience plus paid vacation time, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement plan, bonus plan, and more.
