Cherry Lane Leidy's is looking to hire a Part-time Smokehouse Operator to set up smoke area and stage products in accordance with needs or priorities while ensuring proper smoke and curing procedures and temperatures are followed. Complete paperwork as required. Visually inspect products for unacceptable flaws or concerns and ensure products are to established quality levels. Ensure products are at acceptable quality levels prior to release to next step of operation. Follow all USDA, SQF, and ALL Holding Company HACCP requirements. Always maintain and observe all safety rules and regulations. Be able to maintain a flexible time schedule. Harleysville location

Responsibilities:

• Operate smokehouses and other equipment according to SOP and SQF standards and policies
• Ensure smoke houses are running safely and efficiently and producing the finest smoked and cooked products
• Work according to all company SQF policies and procedures
• Ensure quality of products including maintaining proper temperature, humidity, smoking, and products color

Qualifications:

• Follow directions and be a team player
• Be able to learn on sight

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift, pull, and push up to 30lbs
• Operate equipment and work near moving machinery
• Be on feet for up to 8-10 hours
• Fine motor and motor skill abilities (pinching, grasping, etc.)
• Ability to squat, bend, twist, kneel, reach, stand, walk, and climb frequently and as needed
