AM Description:
Machine Operator in West Middlesex, PA (10-15 min from Hermitage) is responsible for setting up, running, and monitoring production machinery. They ensure plastic extrusion or injection molding equipment operates efficiently to produce materials that meet exact specifications, conduct quality control checks, maintaining daily logs, and following strict safety and facility cleanliness protocols.
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation & Setup:
Safely start, calibrate, and operate production machinery. Continuously feed raw materials into the machines to prevent production downtime.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished goods for defects, dimensional accuracy, or flaws using precision measuring tools.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance (such as cleaning and lubrication) and address minor equipment malfunctions during your shift.
Record Keeping:
Log production statistics, such as the number of approved versus defective units, and complete activity reports.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines, health regulations, and company procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Core Requirements Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is typically required.
Experience:
Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is preferred, though many entry-level positions offer on-the-job training.
Physical Ability:
Must be capable of standing for long periods, frequently lifting and carrying heavy materials, and performing repetitive tasks. Attention to
