Full-time Foundry Lab Tech Job Description:

Prepares and evaluates samples from metal process or metal scrap for compliance to foundry standards or for certification of metal elemental chemistry. Third Shift 11pm to 7am, Sunday Night to

Preferred experience but not required: Lab Experience

• familiar with lab protocols and equipment.

(metals industry experience a plus) Experience with any or all of the following is a plus but not required: X-Ray, Optical Emission Spectrometer, Carbon and Sulfur Analyzer, particle size analyzer, Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, ICP Spectrometer, Fusion, hand-held Niton. Some exposure to basic chemistry and/or metallurgy

regarding work schedule (hours & shifts) and with your work colleagues Detail oriented Willingness to learn and take instruction from other lab tech's to learn skills Will be in training for a period of time. Basic math skills and knowledge Team player Basic computer skills in spreadsheets Able to learn to operate a forklift, hand/power tools, sanders, grinders, cutters. Able to keep lab areas clean and organized Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned Must be able to lift 40+lbs as part of daily job responsibilities.
