Job Description

Icing Mixer (1st Shift) Job description: The Performance Group is looking for an icing Mixer to join the team of a local cake manufacturing plant in York, PA. This position is temp to hire, is a great way to start with a local company.
Schedule:
1st shift 6:30am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri) w/Sat as needed
Pay:
$19.18 per hour Major Responsibilities Inspect mixing equipment for cleanliness or possible damage during set-up and reports deficiencies to supervisor. Reviews daily ingredient requirements against standard requirements and notifies supervisor of discrepancies. Reviews icing inventory for daily use. Update inventory daily. Scales ingredients in accordance with predetermined formulas and procedures; calculates batch requirements and batch size adjustments as directed by supervisor. Operates various mixing and metering equipment in accordance with predetermined procedures Maintain records of batches produced as well as ingredient lot number, temperatures and specific gravities. Enters all required information into the warehouse management system (WMS) Follows Good Manufacturing Practices by adhering to company policy and keeping work areas and equipment neat and clean on an ongoing basis. Maintain continuous communication with line lead to ensure proper icing supply to the line. Follows safety procedures as outlined by company policy. Performs any other duties as assigned. Qualification Ability to perform repetitive motions on a regular basis High School Diploma or GED Ability to work in a fast paced environment using both hands, frequent benidingstopping with occasional walking and lifting/moving up to lbs Must be able to stand for a full shift Must be able to read and speak basic English Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and various shifts is often a requirement to meet production schedules Basic computer skills and ability to operate scanner gun
