Machine Operator (Gasketing Department) $17/hr.

Job Description Position Title:

Gasket Operator Container International is a Plastic Injection Manufacturer located in Crystal Lake, IL.

POSITION SUMMARY

Ensure the flow of materials through the supply chain. Follow safety procedures. Endure production are is organized and clean. Assist others as needed, facilitate and expedite the flow of material to and from various departments. Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials. Ship, receive, stock and deliver parts, supplies and materials. Efficiently locate, stack and load merchandise using a forklift vehicle or other power equipment. Ensure the accurate number and type of the product is shipped. Document and maintain inventory.

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday (Occasional overtime offered on Saturdays) 1st Shift 7:00am - 3:00pm

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Operate and interface with gasket machines (interring data/select operation modes etc.) Receive skids of unfinished lids from the plant Verify labels on unfinished skids Inspect finished/unfinished (gasket) parts and take measurements for quality control paperwork Mount unfinished lids on gasket machine Fill out production and quality control paperwork Place gasket lids on cooling racks - Move cooling racks of gasket lids Stack finished gasket lids on skids and prepare them to be shipped

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to lift 35lbs. Ability to complete tasks reliably and follow instructions/schedules. Candidates must be detail oriented and able to keep up in a fast-paced setting. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus. Any previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

EDUCATION

H.S graduate or GED equivalent - Preferred; Basic Math (use a calculator); Experience with electronics and computer software preferred.

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED

: Must be able to operate with tool materials and handle cutters. Pallet jackets (electric and hand operated), shrink wrapping machine, forklift, drop gauges and calipers (for measuring gasket height), wrenches, screw drivers, small handheld tools, etc.' '
