Job description Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Lumper to join our dynamic warehouse team. As a Lumper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient loading, unloading, and handling of freight within our distribution center. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, materials handling, and warehouse logistics will help maintain smooth operations and uphold safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly contribute to the timely movement of goods and overall warehouse productivity. Duties Load and unload trucks swiftly and safely using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment Assist with order picking and shipping & receiving processes, ensuring accuracy with RF scanners and warehouse management systems Operate cranes and heavy machinery for lifting and moving large or bulky items Conduct heavy lifting tasks regularly while adhering to OSHA safety guidelines Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks Maintain a clean, organized work area to promote safety and efficiency Support warehouse supervisors by following established procedures for materials handling and inventory management Experience Prior experience working in warehouse distribution or construction environments preferred Hands-on experience with order picker, clamp truck, forklift, crane, and pallet jack operation required Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners essential for accurate inventory control Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling necessary Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues beneficial Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership background is a plus but not mandatory Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and repetitive tasks required Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to operational excellence!
