On-site The Impact You'll Make Danfoss in Easley, SC is seeking a WIP Operator for the 1st Shift. The WIP Operator will inspect assemblies using blueprints, Graphical Operation Sheets (GOS), and engineering test specifications to ensure delivery of high-quality products to customers. This role also involves occasional final assembly and kitting tasks. Proficiency in SAP is required to perform transactions related to sub-assemblies, cartridge confirmations, reverse confirmations, work order creation, scrap transactions and movements, as well as generating delivery notes for shipping. Additionally, the WIP Operator will be responsible for collecting all non-conforming materials and updating the scrap database and SAP with accurate information. What You'll Be Doing Obtain information from the computer regarding assembly instructions derived from Graphical Operation Sheets, Blueprints, and Engineering Test Orders. Confirm sub-assemblies through Hard Turn, Hone, and Robo-Drill operations. Verify cartridge production using SAP transactions. Create work orders within the SAP. Enter scrap transaction and movement data for the production department. Interpret and implement instructions from engineering blueprints, routings, and work instructions. Inspect and analyze defective assemblies, then communicate findings to the Engineering team and Supervisor. What We're Looking For A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Candidates should have fundamental math skills and demonstrate clear English reading and writing abilities. The role involves standing for extended periods and frequently lifting up to 50 lbs. Strong motor skills are essential. Mechanical aptitude and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes are important. Familiarity with TPM and SMED methodologies is preferred. Proficiency with quality and problem-solving tools such as PPAP, capability studies, PFMEA, Gauge R&R, 4-Step, 8D, and Fishbone diagrams is expected.
