Job Description

Salary:
$23-$25/hour Is this your perfect fit? Are you experienced in coatings, vacuum systems, or precision manufacturing? This is a great 3rd shift opportunity to work hands-on with advanced coatings technology in a fast-paced environment producing high-performance carbide cutting tools! What your future day will look like: Operate and maintain PVD coating equipment to apply thin-film coatings to carbide drills and cutting tools Prepare parts for coating by cleaning, inspecting, masking, and fixturing to ensure consistent coverage and quality Monitor key process variables such as vacuum pressure, temperature, gas flow, and deposition rates to meet specifications Inspect finished parts using measurement tools and visual/microscopic methods to verify coating thickness, adhesion, and uniformity Perform routine preventative maintenance on furnaces, vacuum systems, and related equipment to minimize downtime Accurately document batch data, process parameters, and inspection results Partner with engineering and quality teams on process improvements and troubleshooting coating defects Follow all safety protocols while handling materials, gases, and equipment in a manufacturing setting Support production goals and assist with training team members as needed

Contract to Hire To be a champion in this role, you will need: High school diploma or GED (technical training or associate degree preferred) 1+ years of experience with PVD/CVD systems, vacuum equipment, or similar manufacturing processes Understanding of coating processes, vacuum technology, or thin-film deposition is strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and maintenance capabilities Basic computer skills for tracking production data and operating system interfaces High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production-driven environment We know you are more than a resume and understand your next career move needs to be the right fit!
