Your role Grinding Operator - Day Shift Job Summary We are seeking a dependable Grinding Operator to support raw material processing in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role ensures safe receipt, inspection, grinding, and transfer of raw materials while meeting strict safety and quality standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operational Tasks Receive, inspect, and process fresh, frozen, and preground materials. Review bill of lading and follow pallet/dunnage handling procedures. Load/unload hopper; operate grinder equipment including controls and basic maintenance. Perform CIP of grinding equipment. Complete flowplate tasks including secure connections, hose inspections, leak checks, tanker connection, and monitoring transfers. Maintain housekeeping; complete daily/weekly/monthly checklists. Technical Components Operate forklift and hoist. Perform scale verification and calibration. Use FSQ colorcoded tools. Read gauges and operate touch panels. Understand equipment flow and interactions. Administrative Components Complete required paperwork accurately. Use basic math/reading skills for documentation. Read and follow grinding production schedule. Monitor raw material percentages and BOM. Quality Components Reference FSQ Manual for conforming/nonconforming product. Follow raw material and product code specifications. Calibrate and read thermometers. Follow GMPs and identify food safety risks. Adhere to EU/NonEU and GMO/NonGMO standards. Safety Components Use proper PPE. Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures. Recognize slip/trip/fall hazards. Use chemicals and lifting techniques safely. Report incidents per procedure; attend safety meetings. Leadership & Teamwork Maintain positive communication and teamwork. Suggest improvements. Follow company policies. Support training and participate in audits. Schedule 12hour night shift Rotating weekends About you Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Experience in food manufacturing is preferred. Knowledge of GMP and hygienic practices is preferred. Strong communication skills. Ability to work in cold environments. Unrestricted range of motion; self-motivated; team-oriented; strong color, odor, texture, and depth perception; safety and quality minded. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
