Job Summary:

Responsible for threading knit machines insuring safety, quality and timeliness or productivity. Each associate is responsible for their own safety.

Schedule:

3rd Shift Overnight shift (10pm-6am) Shift premium included on off shifts Authorized training period: 10 weeks Machines, tool, and equipment used: Scissors, Knitter's hook, Drill, Ratchet, Sockets, Screwdrivers, Safety Belt, Safety Harness, Grease, Oil, Overhead hoist, Lift Truck, Yarn Truck, Air Knife, Band Saw, Cutting Torch, Cleaning Solution, Grinder, Safety Knife.

Materials Used:

Pen, Pencil, Paper, Tape, Fabric, String, Sand paper, Lubricators, Grease, Cut ticket, Calculator, Sleys, Sley Wire, Sley Dogs, Computer, Hooks and Pan, Comb, Cleaning Solution and Screws.

Job Requirements:

Must be 18 years old. Ability to read & write, and comprehend written & verbal instructions. Good organizational skills. Ability to perform various computer operations. Ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to work in a team environment. Good interpersonal relationship skills. Basic math skills and mechanical skills. Good visual perception. Ability to operate a tugger and forklift and have the ability to use hand tools. Required to make a log of activities. Have a working knowledge of a Knit machine. This one person will need to be meticulous, energetic, and self motivated. Participate in aspects of the Sage Safety Process Actively work towards all set quality and production goals Follow all procedures set forth in the Sage Knit Procedure Manual Duties to include but not limited to Procedure

Participate in threading by priorities set by threading manager Assist in the set out/set in of bars to be threaded or repaired Cover jobs as needed: Such as but not limited to loader/knitter/thread Improve overall efficiency of floor through meeting bars threaded goal All other duties as needed

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED - Mandatory 1 Year beyond high school education/training -

Preferred Other Requirements:

Must submit to and pass a drug screen. Must comply with all company rules, including but not limited to: safety, attendance & other job specifications, and have reliable transportation. Visual acuity, listening ability, and excellent communications skills. People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
