Job Description

FIRST SHIFT SCHEDULE ONLY - 4-DAYS PER WEEK - MONDAY TO THURSDAY WITH SOME FRIDAYS. ABOUT US
We're a family-owned, aluminum extrusion manufacturing company located in the heart of Summerville, South Carolina. We extrude, fabricate, anodize and powder coat aluminum parts for customers in a variety of industries. We've been in business for 73 years and are committed to taking care of our team members, our customers and our community!
DUTIES:
The duties for this position include: Setting and up and operating a saw to cut large, aluminum billets. Using a forklift to load, unload, rack and transport aluminum billets into and out of the department. Collects and loads scrap into the scrap hopper. Working with the Extrusion team to ensure that a sufficient supply of cut billets is available throughout the shift. Maintaining a clean and organized work area; and following applicable safety and 5S guidelines. Performing other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
To be qualified for this position, a candidate: Should have, at least, 6-months experience operating a saw in an industrial and/or manufacturing setting. Must be proficient with operating a forklift. Must be able to work Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM and some Fridays from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Must possess good math and people skills and have a strong attention to detail. Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position, which include: working in a non-climate-controlled environment, walking, standing, bending, twisting and lifting between 30 and 50 pounds throughout the day. Must be able to successfully complete the required pre-employment drug screening.
