Job Description
Job Summary 2nd Shift-3:00pm-1:00am We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery to produce high-quality products efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with advanced manufacturing equipment, and a commitment to maintaining precise standards. Responsibilities Operate and monitor various machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and CNC programming equipment to ensure optimal performance. Set up machines according to technical specifications, blueprints, and work orders using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments. Perform routine inspections and quality checks during production runs utilizing GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards and quality control procedures. Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime while adhering to safety protocols. Handle materials safely within the manufacturing facility, including materials handling and packaging tasks. Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, machine maintenance logs, and inspection reports. Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, fabrication projects, and tooling adjustments. Follow safety guidelines rigorously; operate forklifts when necessary for materials movement within the warehouse or factory environment. Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on machine performance and suggesting process enhancements. Qualifications Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and CAM programming tools. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in blueprint reading and CAD software like SolidWorks or similar. Familiarity with Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNC programming languages, and GD&T standards. Ability to use hand tools effectively for setup and maintenance tasks. Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of materials handling procedures and warehouse operations. Competence in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality assurance. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments. Experience with welding or fabrication processes is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
