Lead Labeler M&M Industries, Inc. - 3.1 Chattanooga, TN Job Details Full-time 22 hours ago Qualifications Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence High school diploma or GED Safety equipment Full Job Description M&M Industries is a U.S.-based manufacturer of plastic pails and packaging solutions. We operate a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy, safety, and clear communication are critical to supporting efficient production and traceability. The Lead Labeler is responsible for operating presses, Heat Transfer Labelers (HTL), and automated handle installation equipment. This role ensures accurate tracking and labeling of finished products by scanning work orders, inputting production data, and generating tracking labels that identify material, color, machinery, and molds used. The Lead Labeler also supports shift-to-shift communication and addresses issues that arise during production.
Schedule:
1st Shift, 6:45AM-3PM Key Responsibilities Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment Operate machinery in the assigned work area, including presses, HTL equipment, and automated handle installers Replenish components to production lines as needed Scan work orders and input required information using handheld RF scanners Print and apply labels to finished product pallets while verifying labeling accuracy Ensure changeovers are completed in a timely manner Address and communicate issues that arise during the shift Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with 5S standards Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to use handheld scanning equipment Strong hand-eye coordination Detail-oriented and highly organized Education High School Diploma or GED required Experience One (1) or more years of previous labeler experience preferred Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry at least 20 pounds frequently Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include hot or cold conditions Ability to wear required PPE at all times (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.)
