PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Responsibility of the machine(s) to ensure that quality products are achieved at a consistent rate of speed in accordance with machine standards , and ensure all safety procedures are followed .
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Setsupandoperatemachine in a consistent manner as instructed in the training program,to meet productionrequirements Followsthe procedures with regard to proper set up unless the training is changed and properly re corded with regard to procedure Responsible for all equipment,tools assigned,and partsofthe machineandnotify thesupervisorof anyadditionaltools or equipment that would add to the efficiency and safety of theoperation Followsall instructions issued on the work jacket andadvisethe supervisorand lead of any incorrect or non-recorded information that is necessary for proper set-up and operation Ensurestrays come off the line ingood qualityand are packaged accurately. Operator watches for quality issues and addressing immediately . Does quality checks every 20 minutes. Bags product coming off the line, boxes bags, and stacks boxes on pallet. Watch for glue and paint issues and address. Logsinto computer to viewjob ticket,efficiency scores, enter down time reasonsand makecomments Keep all necessary supplies available Be responsible forthe quality of the product, packaging, labeling, andstocking Responsible for the quality of product manufactured concerning correct viscosity, color, shading, contrast, straining, and inkused See that pallet loads are accurately counted, tagged, and entered to the production report Followsthe stacking arrangement, number of layers,and height requirement for each case size from theStacking Pattern Once a pallet is full, callsthe stock puller on the paging system to move thepallet Calculatesscrap rate to assure job stays within allowablelimits Maintains machine, keeps eye on equipment to ensure that machine stays clean for best turnover between jobs andshifts Communicates well with other teammembers Wears appropriate PPEfor the task and the area. Welcomes updates and improvements to processes and follow new procedures and innovations, which would add to the efficiency and safety of theoperation Performs work in a manner that keeps down time to aminimum Maintains a clean work environmentin accordance withFood Safety and 5Ssystems Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines. Use situational awareness andidentifyunsafe behaviors andconditions May be asked to help with duties in other areas ordepartments Tray Machine Operator-Level 3 r un s machines TFC-307 and TFC-304 . Multiple color , custom jobs are performed on th ese machine and they require advanced printing skills , (machine gets out of line, ink leaks, color changes and fades, types come loose, etc. )
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Experience operating a tray machine, preferably in a folding carton environment. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have basic computer skills and possess ability to utilize software. Must have mechanical ability and skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have the ability to read and understand documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, communicate, and understand directions in English as needed. First Shift (5 Day / 8 Hour)
