•Must be open to all shifts We are seeking dependable Industrial Plant Helpers to support operations within a high-volume metal manufacturing facility. This is a physically demanding role in a large-scale industrial environment where scrap metal is processed, melted, chemically treated, and transformed into metallic powder used in automotive components such as engines and transmissions. This facility is extreme, fast-paced, and safety-critical — with high heat, molten metal, heavy machinery, and continuous production. Plant Helpers play a vital role in keeping operations running safely and efficiently and will be assigned to specific departments based on business needs.

What You'll Be Working With:

Scrap metal processing and handling High-temperature furnaces and molten metal Chemical processing systems Crushing and refining material into fine metallic powder (similar to flour) Large-scale industrial equipment and continuous production lines

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with production processes across various departments (melting, processing, crushing, packaging) Handle, move, and stage raw materials and finished products Support operators and skilled trades in daily plant operations Maintain cleanliness in assigned work areas, including heavy debris and dust removal Follow strict safety procedures in a hazardous environment (heat, molten metal, machinery) Monitor equipment and report issues, hazards, or irregularities Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, shoveling, and extended standing Assist with basic maintenance and operational support tasks Work assigned 12-hour shifts on 2nd or 3rd shift schedules

Work Environment:

Extremely hot conditions with exposure to molten metal Loud, dusty, and physically intense industrial setting Fast-paced production with heavy machinery in operation Safety-sensitive environment requiring constant awareness

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred Previous manufacturing, foundry, or industrial experience a plus Ability to work 12-hour shifts (2nd or 3rd shift) Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform continuous physical labor Comfortable working in extreme heat and hazardous conditions Strong reliability, work ethic, and attention to safety Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
