Job Description

Summary:
The Line Operator role is essential to the success of production operations, ensuring that manufacturing processes run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards. These roles support the facility's SQF System, HACCP monitoring, and sanitation programs. Advancement through each level reflects increased technical skill, equipment knowledge, and leadership in operational excellence and safety compliance. The operators work in various positions throughout the manufacturing process in positions such as raw materials, sorting, inspecting, and packing the product. Line Operator I -
Entry Level Overview:
Entry-level position operating under close supervision. Responsible for basic production line tasks, sanitation duties, and quality checks.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate startup and shutdown procedures Identify and document emergency stop (E-stop) locations Reset production counters and log line efficiencies Conduct and record quality checks of finished product Identify non-conforming products and follow Hold for Inspection procedures Maintain a clean and organized work area Execute assigned cleaning and sanitation duties Submit required paperwork daily Properly handling food products to ensure their safety Follow GMPs, food safety protocols, and SQF procedures Stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Ability to work in temperature varying climates The ability to understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences Report all Food Safety concerns to supervisors/managers on site Sanitation Responsibilities (All Levels): Perform cleaning and sanitization of equipment and work areas per SOPs Use appropriate cleaning agents and PPE Document sanitation activities and report any issues to management Support sanitation verification and audit readiness Food Safety & SQF Responsibilities (All Levels): Follow all food safety procedures and report deviations immediately Support HACCP monitoring and PRP verification Maintain accurate records for traceability and quality checks Participate in food safety and SQF training sessions Promote a proactive food safety culture on the production floor Safety Responsibilities (All Levels): Maintain a safe and clean work environment Follow all PPE and safety protocols Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to Leads, Floaters, and Management Attend safety meetings and training sessions • Identify and report mechanical or safety issues promptly to
