GED Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Chassis Line Server Assembler is responsible for assembling and configuring server chassis on the production line according to company specifications and quality standards. This includes mechanical assembly, installation of components such as motherboards, CPUs, memory, fans, power supplies, and cabling. The role requires attention to detail, familiarity with server hardware, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Essential Functions:
Assemble server chassis on the production line using hand and power tools. Install components such as motherboards, CPUs, RAM, hard drives, fans, and power supplies. Follow detailed work instructions, schematics, and build documents. Perform basic quality control checks to ensure proper assembly and function. Connect internal cabling according to specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area. Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols and safety guidelines. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve build issues. Assist with testing assembled systems when required.
Quality Control and Compliance:
Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Rack Verify. Adhere to safety and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protocols while handling electronic components. Report any non-conforming materials or recurring quality issues to lead our supervisor.
Process Improvement:
Provide feedback on process inefficiencies and issues to Leadership team Maintain organization and cleanliness of the inspection workstation.
REQUIREMENTS
Basic understanding of server rack components, wiring, and labeling conventions is a plus. Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks. Proficiency in using computers and basic software applications for logging inspections.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong communication skills. Must be a team player that can work efficiently under minimal supervision. Ability to function and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Strong sense of process, detail and follow through Ability to multi-task across problem domains and various contexts Ability to work independently and with a team Clearly present information through the spoken and written word
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in quality inspection, electronics assembly, or manufacturing is preferred.
Physical Demands:
