Job Title:
Mechanical Installer II Overview:
This role focuses on installing and commissioning robotic arms, sub‑stations, and related material‑handling equipment inside a large distribution center. It's a great fit for someone mechanically inclined, comfortable with tools, and open to a mix of technical installation and general labor tasks.Key Responsibilities:
Install robotic arms, sub‑stations, and internal site fencing using provided diagrams. Work primarily on mezzanine and sub‑mezzanine levels. Move, strap, and catalogue materials using pallet jacks. Use hand tools and air‑powered tools to commission towers and system components. Run wiring for power supply following step‑by‑step instructions. Support project teams with building stations, moving materials, and commissioning. Perform general labor tasks including sweeping, cleaning, loading, packaging, and basic construction support. Lift 40-50 lbs regularly and work an 8‑hour shift on a hard cement floor. Maintain a clean work area and follow directions accurately. Stay flexible and assist in roles such as inventory and housekeeping.Essential Skills:
Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand/power tools. Prior installation experience (machinery, robotics, or similar). Ability to lift 40-50 lbs consistently. Comfort working in a construction environment on cement floors. Ability to follow detailed instructions and diagrams. Experience using pallet jacks. Basic wiring capability under guidance. Strong attendance, work ethic, and teamwork. Willingness to perform both technical and general labor tasks.Additional Preferred Skills:
Robotics installation or maintenance experience. Construction, warehouse, or general labor Comfort working at elevated mezzanine levels. Adaptability to changing tasks. Strong safety awareness.Why This Role Matters:
This 6‑week assignment offers hands‑on experience with advanced robotics and automation equipment inside a high‑visibility distribution center project. It's an opportunity to build practical installation skills and gain exposure to large‑scale material‑handling operations.Work Environment:
The site is an active construction zone—messy, loud, and busy. Work takes place on mezzanine levels and requires standing/walking on cement floors for the full shift. Tools used include hand tools, power tools, air‑powered tools, and pallet jacks. Professional appearance is important due to customer visibility.Full PPE is required:
high‑visibility vest, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, and composite‑toe footwear. Jeans and t‑shirts are acceptable as long as clothing is not loose. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
