Job Description
The Machine Operator is responsible for effectively operating and maintaining card manufacturing, finishing, personalization and mailing equipment under the direction of the Production Manager to ensure the production and timely delivery of high-quality plastic secured cards according to customer specifications and MTL quality objectives.
Machine Operator Responsibilities:
MUST BE COMPUTER LITTERATE
- Responsible for accurate operations, loading, and unloading of materials and machine adjustments based on instructions, checklists, product specifications, and customer job ticket requirements.
- Continually checks, monitors and corrects any quality issues that may occur during each customer's job run to minimize downtime and waste.
- Interprets and completes all forms and documents that pertain to the department with high accuracy.
- Maintains an accurate record of all completed work on daily production tracking sheet.
- Completes required audit paperwork based on job stage and equipment operated.
Machine Operator Requirements:
- The candidate must have basic skills required to operate technical machinery. They must be able to use a caliper and other hand tools.
- The candidate must be able to interface with a PC by inputting and out putting data and loading and unloading programs. Keyboard input skills are necessary.
- GEO/High School Diploma required.
- Proficient communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to add, subtract multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Must be able to maintain a clean and safe work area and work in a safe manner. Qualifications
- Machine Operating experience preferred.
- Keen attention to detail including distinguishing color.
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
