Machine Operator 1st Shift

Job Title:

Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking skilled Machine Operators to join our dynamic team at a metal trim manufacturing facility. In this role, you will operate various machinery, including Shear, Slitter, and Metal Folder (Brake Press), to produce high-quality metal components. This position is temporary-to-permanent, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and stability within the company.

Pay:

Up to $28hr.

Shift:

7am-3:30pm. (Mon-Fri) Responsibilities Read and interpret drawings with angles, bends, and quantity specifications. Enter drawing details into the Human-Machine Interface (HMI). Place 10 ft metal strips into machines for precise bends and cuts. Maneuver materials appropriately for each bend and step in the process. Stack finished materials once completed. Assist in the shipping and packing area when not operating machines. Essential Skills Proficiency in machine operation, including experience with Shear, Slitter, and Brake Press. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Experience with tape measure usage is essential. Capability to handle and maneuver 10 ft long sheet metal pieces. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Sheet metal experience is advantageous. Familiarity with production goals and quality standards. Why Work Here? Work Environment Our facility specializes in producing trim for industrial metal buildings, focusing mainly on cold storage buildings. The plant is clean and well-laid-out, providing ample space for movement. Employees work in a semi-climate-controlled environment with air movers, ensuring comfort throughout the shift from Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm, including two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
