Laser Operator (Manufacturing) Job Description 2nd Shift Monday - Thursday 5:30PM - 4:00AM Position Overview The Laser Operator in a manufacturing environment is responsible for operating CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings, production schedules, and quality standards. This role supports fabrication processes by ensuring efficient machine operation, material handling, and adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines ( preferred fiber, CO₂, lasers). Load raw materials (sheet metal, steel, aluminum, stainless steel) onto machine beds. Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders. Adjust machine parameters including power levels, cutting speed, gas and focus for cut quality Monitor machine performance during operation to ensure accuracy and efficiency and quality Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers and tape). Perform routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment. Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical, programming issues and cut quality Record production data and report defects or downtime. Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE. Required Qualifications High school diploma or
