In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring cable extrusion equipment to produce high-quality cable products that meet established specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, manufacturing experience, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Shifts 1st

Shift:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 2nd

Shift:

Monday-Friday, 4:30 PM - 1:00 AM Up to $2.50 per hour shift differential available for 2nd shift. Essential Responsibilities Set up and operate cable extrusion equipment for the production of drop cable products. Monitor equipment performance and product quality throughout the manufacturing process. Perform quality checks and utilize testing equipment to verify product specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, construction sheets, machine setup sheets, and technical drawings. Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product quality and production efficiency. Communicate production status and issues to supervisors and management. Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production concerns promptly. Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures. Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and operational issues. Support and train less experienced operators as needed. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and production documents. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet production deadlines. Knowledge of identifying defective materials and equipment issues. Preferred Qualifications Experience in cable manufacturing or cable extrusion operations. 1-3 years of experience processing cable raw materials through cable production operations. Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems. Experience with HMI (Human Machine Interface) systems. Experience diagnosing and correcting electrical and mechanical equipment issues.
