Manufacturing/Assembly Role Overview A manufacturing or assembly worker is responsible for producing components or finished products by assembling parts and subassemblies according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality specifications. Key Duties and Responsibilities Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work orders to understand assembly requirements Selecting, measuring, and aligning Operating hand tools (torque wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers) and power tools (drills, impact wrenches) Assembling components by positioning parts, fastening, and ensuring correct fit and alignment Performing quality checks and functional tests to identify defects or inconsistencies Maintaining and calibrating tools and equipment and keeping the workspace clean and organized Recording production data such as part counts, test results, and work order progress Troubleshooting assembly issues and reporting malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors

Attention to detail and precision Strong hand-eye coordination Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions Basic mechanical aptitude Ability to lift at least 50 lbs Safety and Compliance Follow lockout/tagout and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) procedures Comply with company and industry safety regulations Typical Work Environment Works on production lines, in workshops, or in specialized manufacturing environments non ac/heat.
