1st shift Saw Operator starting at $18/hr. (or more) depending on experience

Anchor Fabrication has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Saw Operator to join our Saw department.

Position Summary:

The Saw Operator cuts metal stock on an industrial band saw, meeting or exceeding customer specs and productivity requirements by reading blueprints and ensuring correct machine settings. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers' needs are consistently met, promoting our company's continued strong national growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

Locate and ensure correct material is delivered to work center Ensure machine is working properly Operate large metal cutting machines (sawing) Ensure nesting program matches print with work order Ensure that the correct gas, speed and consumables are applied correctly Accurately project completion of work orders at work center Ensure jobs are staged correctly after completion Continually maintain a clean working environment Follow and support Safety Policies May perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

1 plus years of experience with Saw operation / Sheet Metal Ability to make simple decimal - fraction conversions. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Ability to read and understand measuring devices, to include a tape measure Environment/Physical Requirements with or without
