Job Description

Valtir is hiring a Career Equipment Operator-2 nd Shift to support our Fort Worth, TX, manufacturing facility. Valtir has been an industry leader and global supplier of highway safety products for over 50 years! Our core roadway product lines include guardrails, end terminals, steel barriers, crash cushions and sign supports. Valtir is dedicated to bringing the next generation of innovative safety products to an ever-changing market. As an Equipment Operator at Valtir, you'll set up and operate machines and may utilize blueprints, make adjustments for materials used, verify dimensional requirements, and transfer materials to storage areas.
Location:
Ft. Worth, TX Starting rate $19 per hour plus $2.00 night shift premium
Full-time:
M-F, 10am-6:30pm What you'll do: Set up and operate production machines to cut, bend, straighten, or form parts as specified by blueprints Lay-up sequence and/or templates Read blueprints, adjust for thickness, and shape of materials and make appropriate settings Load material for processing, verify dimensional requirements Unload and may transfer materials to storage areas May use overhead cranes or forklift Follow all safety rules and practices May be involved in safety committees or initiatives Performs other duties as assigned What you'll need: Minimum of 1 year of experience Ability to read blueprints Ability to operate three of the following equipment types: press break, shear, punch press, saw drill press or roller Ability to understand the technical aspects of the job Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures Ability to measure accurately Ability to safely and efficiently perform all essential functions Ability to follow directions and maintain a professional work environment Good communication skills and the ability to work within a teamwork environment Regular and predictable attendance
