Set up machines according to job orders, including adjustments for size, print, cut, and fold specifications. Monitor production runs to ensure product quality, accuracy, and efficiency. Inspect finished boxes for defects, correct dimensions, and adherence to customer requirements. Complete production reports and quality documentation accurately and on time. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production schedules. Assist in training new operators or helpers as required. High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Prior machine operator experience in corrugated box manufacturing or packaging industry (preferred). Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn machine operations. Ability to read and interpret job tickets, production schedules, and quality standards. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
Employees working in a plant environment must be able to perform the essential physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per shift). Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials, tools, or products (typically up to 50 lbs; occasionally heavier with assistance). Adequate vision to read gauges, screens, and written instructions. Ability to work in hot, cold, humid, or noisy environments.
