Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Position Overview The Saw Operator cuts metal stock on an industrial band saw, meeting or exceeding customer specifications and productivity requirements by reading blueprints and ensuring correct machine settings. This role is highly motivated and works in a fast-paced, quality-centered environment. It is vital in ensuring customer needs are consistently met and supporting continued national growth. Position Description Locate and ensure correct material is delivered to the work center Ensure machine is working properly Operate large metal cutting machines (sawing) Ensure nesting program matches print with work order Ensure correct gas, speed, and consumables are applied correctly Accurately project completion of work orders at work center Ensure jobs are staged correctly after completion Continually maintain a clean working environment Follow and support safety policies May perform other duties as assigned Position Requirements 1+ years of Saw Operator / Sheet Metal experience Ability to make simple decimal-to-fraction conversions Ability to read and understand blueprints Ability to read and understand measuring devices, including tape measure High energy, solution-based thinking with strong attention to detail Ability to maintain a service-oriented disposition Contribute to a team-focused environment promoting growth and success Commitment to productivity and high-quality standards Strong customer service mindset and relationship-building ability Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time May require bending, kneeling, and stooping Exposed to shop environments including noise, dust, odors, and chemicals
