In this role, you will be responsible for operating vacuum forming machinery to produce high-quality plastic components efficiently and safely. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of precision plastic parts used across various industries, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules. Duties Set up and operate vacuum forming machines, ensuring proper calibration and safety protocols are followed Load raw plastics materials into the machine, monitor the forming process, and make adjustments as needed for optimal results Perform quality inspections on finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including materials handling and waste disposal Troubleshoot machine issues promptly, performing minor repairs or notifying maintenance for complex problems Assist with material preparation Document production data accurately, including cycle times, defect reports, and machine maintenance logs Skills Familiarity with plastics manufacturing processes including vacuum forming is a plus Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated machine controls Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; warehouse experience is a plus Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments Understanding of quality inspection standards to ensure product consistency and compliance with specifications Join our team to be part of an innovative manufacturing environment where your skills directly impact the production of high-quality plastic components.
