Machine Operator Lyneer Staffing Solutions - 3.3 Houston, TX Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Moving Machining tool setup Forklift Metal materials Shop math High school diploma or GED Parts drawings Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Our client is currently seeking or in need of a Plasma Machine Operator in Houston, Texas, to support a busy metal fabrication environment on the night shift. This role is responsible for operating and programming a CNC plasma table to produce accurate, high-quality parts while minimizing waste. You'll work from work orders and drawings, complete in-process and final checks, and ensure each order meets customer requirements.
The Day-to-Day:
Operate and program a CNC plasma cutting table to cut parts accurately from work orders and drawings Set up the table with the correct material and select proper consumables, cutting speeds, and parameters to reduce scrap Interpret prints and drawings and translate requirements into correct machine cuts and part layouts Perform continuous quality checks during production to protect order accuracy and integrity Complete final verification of quality and quantity, including packaging and labeling of finished material Maintain plasma table and related equipment to keep it in proper working condition Perform basic maintenance on the CNC table and keep the work area clean, organized, and safe Complete required paperwork, delivery tags, and production documentation clearly and accurately Operate a forklift to move raw material and finished product safely Use measuring tools such as tape measures and micrometers to confirm dimensions Follow all PPE requirements and safety procedures for the work area
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Metal fabrication shop experience required Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, and part prints Comfortable with basic programming and setup for CNC plasma cutting equipment Ability to accurately perform basic math for measurements and cut requirements Ability to lift, move, and handle steel parts up to 50 lbs Forklift experience required; ability to operate safely in a production setting
Pay Rate:
$20.00 to $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Occasional Saturdays as needed)
