Job Summary:

The Shop Operator I is responsible for supporting saw operations while assisting across multiple departments within the shop. This role includes grinding, inspection, painting, and marking of parts, as well as providing support in warehouse functions such as order pulling and packaging. The position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications:

1+ years of general warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred Experience in a manufacturing or shop environment is a plus Ability to cross-train and work in multiple departments as needed Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to following all safety procedures Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities:

Assist with saw operations, including material handling and support Perform grinding using hand tools and equipment Support inspection processes to ensure product quality Assist with marking and painting parts as required Help pull orders and prepare items for shipment Assist with boxing and packaging in the warehouse Maintain a clean and safe work environment (sweeping, dusting, mopping) Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Physical Requirements:

Regular use of hands for handling, reaching, and operating tools Ability to lift and/or move 10-50 lbs regularly and over 100 lbs occasionally (with proper equipment) Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching Occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing Must have adequate vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment)
