Threader Operator (2nd Shift) Job Description This role operates a thread machine in a production environment, working closely with a machinist to load and unload materials, thread bolts, and verify that all parts meet required size specifications. The position focuses on consistent, accurate machine operation and quality output during the second shift. Responsibilities Operate the thread machine safely and efficiently throughout the second shift. Load and unload material into and from the thread machine according to production requirements. Thread bolts and other components, ensuring they meet the correct size and specification. Work alongside a machinist to support daily production goals and maintain workflow. Set up the machine and tooling as needed to run different parts or jobs. Read and interpret blueprints to confirm dimensions, tolerances, and threading requirements. Monitor machine performance, identify basic issues, and make routine adjustments during operation. Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, and separate any nonconforming items. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of required personal protective equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse environment. Requirements At least 2 years of machine operating experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Spanish Proficiency Proficiency in operating threading equipment or similar production machinery. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience performing basic machine setups and adjustments. Strong attention to detail to ensure bolts and components meet correct size and specifications. Ability to work effectively on a second shift schedule from approximately 3:30 PM to midnight. Commitment to following safety protocols and using required protective equipment, including steel-toe footwear. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a thread operator, CNC operator, or machine operator. Familiarity with tooling selection and basic tooling changes. Spanish-English bilingual communication skills. Ability to collaborate closely with machinists and other production team members. Comfort working in a warehouse-based manufacturing environment. The role requires wearing steel-toe footwear and adhering to all safety and shop-floor guidelines while working closely with machinists and other operators on the production floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX 77041. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
